About Us

Southside is a local, independent, New Testament Church. We assemble for worshipping, encouraging one another, ministering and witnessing. We are missionary in our vision, evangelistic in our endeavor, conservative in our doctrine, and pre-millennial in our view of the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God. It is the only complete and final revelation of God to man in this age and is the standard guide of conduct, of action for the believer and of the church.

We believe that without the shedding of blood there is no remission OF SIN (Heb. 9:22). Even so the son of man came to give his life a ransom for many. (Mathew 20:28)

We believe Jesus was taken up into heaven and shall come in like manner as seen going into heaven. (Act 1:11) For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout...and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord. (1 Thes. 4:16-17)

We believe in the new birth. Except a man be born again he shall not see the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3) As many as received HIM, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (Jn. 1:12-13)

We believe in eternal life for the believer. I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish. (John 10:28) He that believeth on the Son HATH everlasting life. (John 3:36)
